The first Czech/Slovak workshops were carried out in summer 2018. Slovak workshop took place in National Park Nizke Tatry Slovakia. Representatives of the Forest commons Hybe and other stakeholders participated at workshop activities.

Timeline with the key dates, events and other milestones within the innovation development was created and main barriers, obstacles and key factors for innovation development were identified. Representatives of the Forest commons Hybe are expecting declining timber harvesting in the next years and thus are considering more sustainable forestry activities (e.g. chipping).

During the workshop had been pre-tested role board game that all others innovation partners with their stakeholder will play within their workshops.

Focus group with Czech representatives of Land Trust Association Cmelak was held in Liberec close to The New Virgin Forest. The focus group was used for identification of key milestones, influencing factors and stakeholders for the innovative activities.
